Studio Policies

REGISTRATION:

All students must complete our online registration process and sign all liability waivers in order to participate in our classes/programs.

ATTENDANCE:

We do not credit your account for missed classes, but we will allow dancers to make up classes, up to 7 days after absence, with another class currently offered at the level below their placement, or with another class in their current level.

Students are expected to attend no less than 80% of their classes, and no more than 12 absences over the course of a year.

Missing classes detract from other students’ learning progress, as the teacher has to reteach what has already been taught.

Multiple absences can result in un-enrollment from classes.

TUITION:

There will be a non-refundable $15 new account registration fee for all new accounts.

Tuition is due on the 1st of the month using our auto-pay system.

There are no refunds once payments are made, unless notice was given before payment was processed.

Each month, the fee is the same amount (Except for the summer session) It is not prorated when there are more or fewer than 4 weeks in the month (this includes June)

There will be a $10 late fee charge for accounts not paid by the 10th.

Split payments will be charged an additional $10 fee.

One month of non-payment will result in automatic un-enrollment with no refunds.

Dancers will not be able to participate in class if payment is one month or more overdue. 

PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE:

The Compound Dance Complex will often use photos and/or videos of dancers in publications (such as flyers/brochures), advertisements (such as newspapers or online ads), our studio’s website, or on social media sites (such as the studio’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, or Instagram accounts).

In some cases, the child’s name may be used.

No financial compensation will be provided for the use of these photos/videos.

WEATHER CLOSURES/HOLIDAY/SCHOOL BREAKS:

We will generally follow the Redmond School District’s holiday/break schedule.

We are CLOSED for the following Holidays/School Breaks: Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring break, Memorial Day, Veterans day, and 4th of July.

There will be no prorated payments for holidays.

In the event of a district-wide school closure, we will follow the district’s lead.

In the event that classes are canceled due to poor weather or teacher illness, an alternative class suggestion for a make-up will be provided.

Tuition will not change for months with school closures, breaks, or holidays.

We will notify families of these situations on our social media platforms and via email.

BEHAVIOR:

Students, Parents, siblings, staff, and guests of The Compound Dance Complex are ALL held to the same behavioral expectations.

Fighting of any sort, whether in the classroom or the hallway/lobby, gives reason for immediate dismissal.

Gossip regarding any students, family members, faculty, or guests can create unnecessary pain and embarrassment. The Compound Dance Complex strives to be a safe place; do your part to keep it a sanctuary for all dancers.
